About the Chapter

Hello and Welcome,

Congratulations, you have made some very good choices in your life. One is that you put yourself into position to purchase an American Coach and then you did. Another good choice is that you are in the American Coach Association. The third leg of this stool is to join the Northwest Chapter of the American Coach Association. Let the journey continue.

The Northwest Chapter covers six states and three Canadian Provinces. They are Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming. The Provinces are Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan. We cover an area of approximately 1,956,325 sq. miles, that´s about ten people per square mile. Although this is our geographical area all are welcome to participate and encouraged to join the Northwest Chapter.

We try to have at least two rallies within our area in the warmer months and a get together or two as snow birds in Southern California or Arizona. We also quite often do joint rallies with the Northern California Chapter and try to participate at the National American Coach Rallies.

Hello to ALL,

After a rough and tumble couple of years, I think we have now put together a winning team. Yea ! As most of you know founding Northwest President Rod Senter took over the reigns as President from Karen Merlich after she finished her two terms as NW President. After Rod´s un-timely death Ed Branch accepted the role of President, shortly after he had to resign because of health reasons, Helen and Ed sold their coach and moved to Henderson, NV. Alick Muxlow then became the NW President, he was still working full time and then he had some health issues.

In January 2009, the current team of Officers were elected in the Northwest Chapter. V. P. Terry Bennett, past Nor Cal President is a strong and welcomed leader. Sheri Tomaszewski the Treasurer is involved in many organizations, another strong leader, we are pleased to have past Northwest President Karen Merlich as a Director and Carita Mosby as the other Director, we all know behind every successful man is a strong woman, she´s your lady. Leslie Pettinger is the Membership Chair, she is involved in many organizations, another strong contributor. I have had the pleasure as serving as the Northern California Chapter President and the American Coach Chapter of FMCA President. With your help and support I´m sure we can make the Northwest Chapter "SHINE". Come join and join in with us and make the Northwest Chapter "SHINE" even more.

I just noticed the addresses of the officers below and none of them except for Carita and myself have addresses in this area. And Carita and I were known as Nor Cal members since we joined ACA in 1994. Karen & Stu Merlich have lived in Oregon all of their lives and just recently built a winter home in Yuma. Terry & Truman have purchased their RV property on the golf course in Blanchard, Idaho and have their mail forwarded from Pahrump. Sheri & George have a beautiful home in Arizona and also own property at Osprey Point at Lakeside, Oregon. And Leslie Pettinger is a worker bee; I´ll take her help even if she were from Venus.
